Musica con Vista (Music with a View)
Open-air chamber music festivals in Italy’s most beautiful locations.
A musical journey through the gardens, cloisters, and courtyards of historic homes and palaces, an integral part of our country’s identity and cultural heritage. Through numerous concerts spread throughout Italy, the music of the most representative young ensembles on the international music scene resonates throughout Italy and is accompanied by activities to discover the region.
The goals of Musica con Vista are:
- Sostenere la nuova generazione di giovani talenti della musica classica
-
offrire la possibilità ad un pubblico curioso di scoprire la bellezza a due passi da casa
attivando i territori - dare vita a un sistema nazionale in cui la Cultura è motore per lo sviluppo sostenibile del Paese
Musica con Vista creates an ecosystem comprised of cultural operators, organizations that preserve historical heritage, and local communities, within which resources and needs intertwine in a circular economy. The concerts, spread across Italy and accompanied by collateral activities related to artistic heritage and the discovery of hidden wonders, enhance peripheral areas and activate local associations and artisans, with a view to promoting local tourism. This formula guarantees the project’s local sustainability and its replicability in different territories.
Musica con Vista’s proposal for cultural innovation and local connection was born from the convergence of the mission and activities of Le Dimore del Quartetto and Comitato AMUR. The cultural heritage of historic homes and young professional chamber musicians from Italy and Europe meets the history and tradition of some of Italy’s most important chamber music concert venues, which extend beyond the country’s main cities to revive villages and urban suburbs. The partnership with the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane contributes to the creation of the Musica con Vista ecosystem. By opening the extraordinary historic homes scattered throughout Italy to the public, the festival’s offerings and the widespread nature of its local activations are enriched. The Musica con Vista 2022 festival takes place from June 11 to September 29 and travels throughout Italy, from Trento to Palermo. The 37 concerts spread throughout Italy are the stages of a musical journey through the gardens, cloisters, and courtyards of historic homes and palaces, an integral part of our country’s identity and cultural heritage.
