AMUR Committee
The AMUR Committee was founded in May 2020 from the desire to unite some of Italy’s most important chamber music institutions into a single body, with the aim of promoting common activities and objectives.
Preceded by the five-year experience of Associazioni Musicali in Rete (hence “AMUR”), the Committee was formed to act as a driving force and promote proposals, providing a concrete and national response to cultural life, also aiming to participate in international networks.
The value of working together, which has always united the institutions involved, has been transformed into a shared commitment: the classical music institutions, aware of their moral responsibility and the cultural legacy to be passed down to new generations, intend to encourage further membership and virtuous unions in Italy and abroad, and at the same time relaunch classical music concert activity in the country. Historic concert organizations, from Trieste to Palermo, have come together on this portal with the aim of promoting the entire program.
AMUR Committee members’ concert programs and promote joint projects such as the promotion of young professionals and the organization of tours for Italian and international artists, conferences, cultural trips, and events that enrich the country’s cultural life.
The Committee pays particular attention to young audiences, scheduling open rehearsals and special projects for schools.
