The <strong><em>Schumann Marathon<\/em><\/strong> offers over 3 hours of chamber music by the great German composer, performed on period instruments by five exceptional musicians: <strong>Isabelle Faust<\/strong> (violin), <strong>Anne-Katharina Schreiber<\/strong> (violin), <strong>Antoine Tamestit<\/strong> (viola), <strong>Jean-Guihen Queyras<\/strong> (cello) and <strong>Alexander Melnikov<\/strong> (fortepiano).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-xl-font-size\">The evening&#8217;s programme features the performance of some of Schumann&#8217;s masterpieces, including the String Quartet op. 41 no. 1, the Piano Quartet op. 47 and the Piano Quintet op. 44, all written in 1842, the year that marked Schumann&#8217;s introduction to chamber music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-xl-font-size\">For more information and tickets click <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ferraramusica.it\/en\/eventi\/maratona-schumann\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday 6 November we will host a very special event.
